Jean Franko left Venezuela in 1999 to settle indefinitely in Europe. In Madrid (Spain), he began his fashion career as a model, this for the famous spanish designer Francis Montesinos for which he walked the catwalk in 2002 and 2003, this during the "Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week". In Milan, he posed for photographer Gian Paolo Barbieri ; he worked as a showroom model for
Tommy Hilfiger, then took part in the making of dance routines for a video by world famous band "
Gipsy Kings". In 2010, for the Winter Collection 2010/2011, he posed with famous model Alexandra ; making a series of fashion pictures for trendy Parisian couturier Hindu (Hindi Mahti).
His Movie Career began in 2004 in a production named "Italian for the beginner", sensuously filmed in and around Verona (Italy), produced by American director
Lucas Kazan. He was immediately signed an exclusive contract by two of the most prestigious gay film directors of the time :
Lucas Kazan Productions and
Kristen Bjorn. He got an immediate success and was awarded "HeatGay 2007" as Best Actor in a Foreign Release. Almost immediately afterwards he was awarded the
GayVN Award for Best Foreign Actor in Hollywood, this twice in a row : in 2007 for "
The School for Lovers" (the film adaptation of Mozart's 'Così Fan Tutte'), in 2008 for "
The Men I Wanted"
[1]; both pictures made & produced by director Lucas Kazan. At the 2009 GayVNs, again he was nominated in the category 'Best Group Scene' for his performance in the movie "Skin Deep" by director Kristen Bjorn. He has just been nominated, in July 2010, at the first JRL Awards in Los Angeles, as "Best Top Latin" in the Latin Section.
Jean Franko has been the front cover of numerous glossy Gay Magazines : "Honcho"
[2] (April 2006, February 2007, January 2008, December 2008 and March 2009), "Latin Inches"
[3] (March 2006), "XFactor" (November 2007), "XXXShowcase" (August 2006), etc ... He is the front cover of Lucas Kazan's photographic art book 'Italian Style' [3], hardback book published by
Bruno Gmünder Verlag in 2008. He has been the cover of numerous gay calendars. Very recently he was the front covers of German magazines also published by
Bruno Gmünder Verlag : "Macho" (March 2009), "Toy" (No. 287) and published in March 2010 "Hart 15". Nowadays he launches himself in the entertainment businness and is the producer of famous gay clubbing parties named "THE ONE X"
